Abstract

Primary salivary gland carcinomas are extremely rare neoplastic lesions of the larynx. These tumors arise from the subepithelial minor salivary glands that are found widespread in larynx. There is not an agreement about the treatment procedure of such rare tumors and no report is present in the literature of which series is large enough to determine the prognosis. Reviewing the literature, we present two cases, an adenocarcinoma and an adenoid cystic carcinoma of the larynx, with their diagnosis, treatment approaches and prognostic outcomes in order to contribute to the literature.
